09 June, 2019

The Directorate of Human Resources contributed to the support of humanitarian campaigns and projects organised by charities and volunteering organisations at the Emirate during the holy month, most notably “Jude” charity campaign launched by Sharjah Charity Association during the holy month of Ramadan, as part of the Directorate’s initiatives during this month.
It subsidized the campaign’s projects, namely Ramadan Kit, Iftar and Eid Clothes. It organised, in cooperation with Sharjah Charity, the distribution of iftar meals to fasting persons at Sharjah Mosque, with the participation and presence of several officials and employees of the Directorate, where 500 meals were distributed. It also organised an introduction lecture at its branch headquarters in Al Dafin to encourage its employees to volunteer work and to determine the ways of participation and support of Jude campaign.
The Directorate was keen to activate the role of its employees in supporting the campaign, in order to ehnance their social responsibility and draw a realistic picture of the size of cooperation at the Emirate and the race to do good, and to highlight the important role played by the Directorate in the support of the humanitarian and charity entities and associations at the Emirate.
HE Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources, explained that the initiative paved the way to its employees to participate in the support of the campaign through various means, as it aims to promote the social participation through field practices that contribute to the creation of an interconnected social environment.
He added that the support of charity and humanitarian campaigns is, in its entirety, an enhancement of social solidarity and makes a positive impact on cohesion and development.  He emphasised that the acts of kindness and volunteer work are a part of the true practice of citizenship, contributing to form a social unit based on mutual support and love, promoting the values of giving and gratefulness among people.
